Steven is the second son and third child in the Tony Karam family. He has since brought into this world four children of his own—Jaclyn (1982), Clifton (1985), Olivia (1987), and Laura (1990).

Recalling how he first became interested in working at Mexican Manhattan, Steven says, “It has been a family business almost since I was born, so I grew up with much exposure to the restaurant [mostly by] hanging out there in the summer time. Even when I was a kid everybody would tell me that one day I would work here, so here I am!”

Steven lists customer satisfaction as his most rewarding experience at the Mexican Manhattan Restaurant. He states that almost anywhere you go there will be patrons of the establishment continually bragging about the food and service.

Despite all that, Steven can’t quite voice what keeps him going in the business. “There’s a reason I keep coming back here day after day,” he says. “I just can’t quite remember what it is…”
